According to the World Federation of the Deaf, there are almost 72 million deaf people in 123 countries all over the world. And there are up to 120 thousand people with hearing disabilities in Ukraine.
As Ukraine belongs to the international community, it celebrates Human Rights Day annually on 10 December. This is the day when the UN General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as a general standard goal for all nations and countries in 1948.
Turbulent times always bring challenges along with new opportunities to reach a new level. The time has come for real changes and actions. It is time to transform the approaches we are used to and invent new solutions. Such changes are possible only if both women and men are involved in decision making in state and private sectors.
The 4th Annual Ukrainian Women’s Congress took place 2 days in a row on November 25th, 26th, and it united 55 speakers in Kyiv, Lviv and Mariupol for establishing new agenda in Ukrainian gender policy in the times of the pandemic challenges and the lockdown.
