Ms. Anastasia Divinskaya

Representative, UN Women in Ukraine

Anastasia Divinskaya assumed her duties as UN Women Head of Office in Ukraine in July 2015. In August 2018 Ms. Divinskaya was assigned as a Representative of UN Women office in Ukraine.

Ms. Divinskaya has 18 years of experience in gender equality, women’s empowerment, human rights and UN coordination working with the UN at the international and national levels. Prior to Ukraine, she served as UN Women Deputy Country Representative in Timor-Leste.

From 2010 to 2013, Ms. Divinskaya worked in UN Women Moldova leading the gender-responsive local governance and decentralization programme, focusing on the rights of minorities.

Between the years 2007 and 2010, she was in charge of the UNIFEM/UN Women country programme in Kyrgyzstan covering women’s leadership and participation and providing funding to ensure gender equality and women’s economic empowerment; besides, she was also involved in UN coordination work. Prior to joining UNIFEM/UN Women, Ms. Divinskaya worked in UNFPA and UNDP in Kyrgyzstan.
